4 Email Marketing Tips That Will Make You More Money Right Now

The #1 way that affiliate marketers are making money online is through their email lists. I’ve been collecting emails on my sites for years, and its hands down my most consistent and profitable source of money. With SEO, you have to be worried about Google changing its algorithms. With PPC marketing, you have to worry about Adwords banning affiliate accounts or Facebook rejecting your profitable ads for no apparent reason. But with email marketing, once you have your list, you’ll always have it. As long as you’re not spamming your subscribers and making them unsubscribe, you can continue to market to them for a very long time. In this post, I would like to share with you 4 email marketing tips, that have helped me become a beter email marketer.

Catch their eye with a great subject line – What’s the use of your great email promotion, if it never gets read? Most people decide which emails to read by scanning its subject line. If the subject line is boring or smells like spam, the email will never get opened. Therefor it’s important to know your target audience and understand what interests them. For example, if you have a PPC mailing list a headline like “Adwords account banned? 5 alternative traffic sources that you must try now” would definitely peak their interest.

Build trust – Getting subscribers to opt-in to your list is one thing. Getting them to stay on is another. Keep people excited to be on your list by continually offering them things they want. Examples include valuable tips and tricks, exclusive offers, or mini-courses. If your subscribers feel they are learning something valuable from you, then they will stay on and you will build their trust. Then once you’ve done that, it becomes a whole lot easier to market to them.

Email regularly – You don’t want to overwhelm your subscribers, but make sure to email them at regular intervals. If a subscriber opts in to your list, but you don’t mail them for a month, they are probably not going to remember who you are and just delete your email. By establishing a rapport with your subscribers, they will come to expect your emails and be responsive to them.

Keep testing everything – There are many different variables that go into an effective email marketing campaign. You need to continually be testing to see what works and what doesn’t. Test different subject lines to see which ones get the highest open rates. Find out if direct linking to an offer is more effective, or just linking to a review on your own website. It is extremely important to continually tweak your emails so you can get the most ROI from each email your send.

If you haven’t started collecting emails yet, you need to start doing so right away. Once you’ve optimized your email campaigns, you’ll be astounded by the conversion rates you can get with each email. Although it takes time and effort to set things up properly, you’ll find that email marketing will soon become one of your most consistent sources of profits.
